Our brand campaign was launched across Great Britain and Ireland on 4 October 2014. Maya’s journey of discovery has proven to be one of SSE’s major success stories with the campaign touching millions of lives
“Proud to make a difference” will continue to be at the heart of the campaign as we develop our message to show how we make a difference to lives everywhere by offering our competitive range of products, tariffs and services.
We wanted someone memorable to look at energy through fresh eyes. Maya’s reaction is a reminder that the world we take for granted is actually full of energy, proudly powered by SSE.
No real animals were used. Instead, Maya was created using computer generated imagery (CGI). It’s looking at energy through fresh eyes and reminding us that the world we take for granted is actually full of light, heat and technology, proudly powered by SSE.
The lyric ‘When I fall in love/It will be forever’ is exactly how we feel about energy. We’ve been here for over 70 years and continue to invest for the future.
Within the last year, we have made a commitment to better understand our customers and to position ourselves as competitively as possible within the industry. This has led to the plan to refresh our corporate identity and to strengthen the association between SSE and all our regional brands.
Defining Our Brand
The SSE ‘brand’ is much more than just our green and blue logo!
It’s what we stand for and the flag that unites us, sets us apart and makes us proud to be SSE, builds on our history and the reputation of our company and represents our people and the products and service that we deliver to our customers.
The SSE brand is who we are and what we do. The opportunity now is to share this with everyone we touch - bottling our 'bestness' for people to see.
