What is a MPAN?

A MPAN (Meter Point Administration Number) is a unique identifying number for the electricity supply at your property. It is also sometimes called a 'Supply Number' or 'S' number. You may need it to switch energy suppliers. The number does not change if you switch suppliers.

How do I find my MPAN?

It should appear on your bill using a large 'S' and a grid of numbers. The full MPAN is 21 digits long. If you can't find it on your bill, please contact your electricity supplier.

What is a MPRN?

A MPRN (Meter Point Reference Number) is a unique identifying number for the gas supply at your property. It is sometimes called a 'M' number. You may need it to switch energy suppliers.

How do I find my MPRN?

It should be printed on your gas bill. It is normally shown with a large 'M' and a row  of six to ten numbers. If you can't find it on your bill, please contact your gas supplier.
