  • Free energy efficient installations* with SSE

  • The gateway to free* and green home improvements

SSE is committed to providing energy efficiency advice and initiatives for you, especially if you’re struggling from time-to-time to pay your energy bills.

We provide the opportunity for vulnerable people or those on benefits to access a range of energy saving measures in their home - FREE* OF CHARGE! Plus, you're not just limited to one type of measure per property so there’s never been a better time to make your home more comfortable and your bills more affordable.

  • What help is available?

Providing you and your home meet the criteria you could qualify for:

FREE* boiler installation, replacement or repair.

Replacing an old gas boiler with an A-rated high-efficiency condensing boiler and improving your heating controls will significantly cut your home's carbon dioxide emissions - and could save you as much as £300 a year**.

Boilers account for around 60% of what you spend in a year on energy bills, so an efficient boiler makes a big difference.

    FREE* loft Insulation

Heat rises, and in an un-insulated home a quarter of your heat is lost through the roof. Insulating your loft, attic or flat roof is a simple and effective way to save that waste and reduce your heating bills**.

    FREE* Cavity Wall Insulation

If your home was built after 1920, the chances are that its external walls are made of two layers with a gap or cavity between them. Cavity wall insulation fills that gap, keeping the warmth in to save energy. It can also help reduce any condensation inside**.
